General Information

The Maria Theresia College is situated in the historical city centre of Leuven (Sint-Michielsstraat 2) and easy to reach by foot and public transport (see map below).

By foot

In about half an hour you can walk from the railway station to the conference venue: walk down the main shopping street (Bondgenotenlaan) opposite the railway station up to the square (“Grote markt”, between church and city hall)). Turn left behind the city hall (“Naamsestraat”) and continue until you reach the bookshop “Standaard boekhandel” on your left. Turn left into the Sint-Michielsstraat and after some 50m you enter the gate at your right to the Maria Theresia College.

By bus

Many busses departing from the railway station (busses with numbers 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 333, 337) stop at the Saint-Michael's Church, at the corner of the “Naamsestraat” and the “Sint-Michielsstraat”. This is just a few steps away from the Maria Theresia College.

When you are lodged at a hotel in the city centre, please ask at the reception for the shortest way to the conference venue.

Restaurant Alma 2

Lunches are included in the conference fee and will be served in the student restaurant “Alma 2”. They include a warm meal with three courses. From the Maria Theresia College it is only a short walk through the city park to Alma 2 (see map).
