 Arenberg Castle |
- Turn southwards at the crossing 'Naamse Poort' on the belt-way
around Leuven (at the Total service station).
- The road immediately splits in two, go right.
- This is the 'Kardinaal Mercierlaan', follow this lane lined
with chestnutt trees for about one kilometer.
- Just before you arrive at the 'Kantineplein' (after the last
trees), enter the campus immediately to your right (watch out
for bikers).
- Follow this road until you reach Heverlee Castle.
- Turn right. After About 50 m a public car parking is available.
- From here you can follow the signs to the Instituut voor Plantkunde en Microbiologie.

- Take highway E40 (Brussels - Liege).
- Take exit E314 / Leuven (no. 15).
- Keep to the right and follow the sign "Leuven" (leave
the E314).
- This is the 'Koning Boudewijnlaan', turn right at the third
traffic lights (direction Campus Arenberg, this is the 'Celestijnenlaan').
- Drive on for about 500 m, until the bridge over the river 'Dijle'.
- Just past the bridge, on the left, you can drive into the Arenberg
park.
- Continue on the road parallel to the river (past the old mill)
until the Arenberg castle.
- About 50 m downstream from the castle a public car parking is
available.
- From here you can follow the signs to the Instituut voor Plantkunde en Microbiologie.

- Take highway E314 (Aachen - Leuven).
- Take exit "Leuven" (no. 15).
- Keep to the right and follow the sign "Leuven" (leave
the E314).

- From the central station of Leuven you can take the following buses :
- bus 2-Campus: stop at Kantineplein
- bus 2-Boskant: stop at Naamsepoort/kardinaal Mercierlaan (10 minutes walk to the Kantineplein)
- bus 337-Wavre: stop at LeopoldIII-laan (follow this street to Kantineplein)
- At the Kantineplein you will see the castle and the Arenberg Campus straight in front of you.
- Go through the main entrance and follow the signs to the Instituut voor Plantkunde en Microbiologie.

Note: Please make sure you follow directions to "Leuven", not "Louvain-La-Neuve". This is a completely different destination. |

- At Brussels National Airport you can either take the train to Leuven and then a bus or taxi to the Arenberg Campus, or you can take a taxi from the airport to the campus.
- Every hour there are 2 trains leaving from Brussels Airport to Leuven. It's a 15 minutes trip and a ticket will cost about €3.
