Vacancy

Effective immediately, the Functional Genomics and Proteomics group of the Biology Departement at the K.U.Leuven has a vacancy for a young post-doc/PhD student with experience in mass spectrometry. The scientist will work in the context of an interuniversity interdisciplinary project for strategic and basic research (http://www.peptidomics.be) on the identification of novel bioactive peptides from a variety of different mouse tissues using liquid chromatography in combination with tandem mass spectrometry (ESI QTOF MS/MS & MALDI TOF TOF MS/MS).

Candidates should have a prior PhD -degree or masters' degree or equivalent in biology, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, bioengineering, pharmacy or a similar discipline. Prior experience with mass spectrometry of peptides or proteins is highly desirable. Good command of Dutch or English is mandatory.
